What do Physiotherapists do?
Physiotherapists are highly qualified health professionals who together with their patients work to help people improve their body performance and stay well.
Physiotherapists are the most referred allied health of service of GP’s. We work closely with GPs and other health clinicians to plan and manage treatment. GPs refer more patients to physiotherapists than any other healthcare profession.
Using advanced techniques and evidence-based care, physiotherapists assess, diagnose, treat and prevent a wide range of health conditions and movement disorders.
What can Physiotherapy help with?
Physiotherapy helps repair damage, reduce stiffness and pain, increase mobility and improve quality of life.
Physiotherapy extends from health promotion to injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, maintenance of functional mobility, chronic disease management, patient and carer education and occupational health.
Is a GP referral required?
You don’t need a referral from a doctor to see a physiotherapist. However we are more than happy to accept GP or other professional referrals to work as part of a team to help you get the most out of our services.
Can I claim this service on my health insurance policy?
Yes. If you have private health insurance, we can do rebate claims on the spot with the hiCAPS facility in the clinic.
If you don’t have private health cover, our services are accessible and will require payment on the day of service through all accepted forms of tender.
